Application Process
Serving as a San Lucas Mission Volunteer is both rewarding and challenging. It takes flexibility, initiative, patience, a sense of humor, and openness. While the application process is not as challenging as serving as a San Lucas Mission Volunteer, the qualities that make an effective volunteer will also be useful in the application process. If you have looked through the Web site and think the San Lucas Mission Volunteer Program might be what you are looking for in a volunteer experience, you may wish to complete the Preliminary Application. All individuals wishing to be considered for the San Lucas Mission Volunteer Program must submit a Preliminary Application online. The next step following the Preliminary Application is an essay application in which the applicants’ life experience is addressed (relevant to those staying longer than 3 months). Please note: The Volunteer Program is currently going through a review process, which is scheduled to be completed by December 2008. The length and structure of the Program are potentially subject to change based on this review process.
