Application Process
Serving as a San Lucas Mission Volunteer is both rewarding and challenging. It takes flexibility, initiative, patience, a sense of humor, and openness. The Volunteer Program is more and more competitive every year and spots are limited. If you have looked through the website, reviewed the links to the right (including our Vision and Mission Statements) and think the San Lucas Mission Volunteer Program might be what you are looking for in an international volunteer experience, you may wish to complete the Preliminary Application. All individuals wishing to be considered for the San Lucas Mission Volunteer Program must submit a Preliminary Application online. There is an additional essay application for all interested parties. For those considering a stay longer than 2 months, there is a lengthy interview with the volunteer coordinator. Additionally, younger candidates (under 21) may be asked to submit letters of recommendation and/or character references.
