Arch Mrkvicka ~ Executive Director of  Friends of San Lucas ~ Arch had the great honor of working closely with Fr. Greg during his last two years while he lived with his sister in Eagan, MN. He is devoted to continuing the work of Fr. Greg, following his philosophy of integral human development and incorporating his four pillars of Christian Social doctrine in all we do.

 

In Loving Memory of Fr. Greg Schaffer ~ Past Pastor & Program Director ~ Fr. Greg was a diocesan priest from the Diocese of New Ulm, Minnesota. Began service as Pastor of the San Lucas Mission in 1962, for 48 and a half years, Fr. Greg had overseen the gradual construction of a socio-economic programming devoted to the enhancement and enrichment of the whole person – spiritually, intellectually, and physically – by addressing both the immediate effects of poverty and its underlying causes.
